We believe education is life itself; not the preparation for it.
IllumEducation has not jumped onto the wagon of education for the financial gains it could bring; though we do have some charitable objectives, we still charge reasonable fees for our services (lessons) to maintain the good quality teachers we need to train for the excellent and well prepared lessons we deliver. We have taken the challenge to learn the subconscious language of young learners and fed this information to our reprographics department for the development of our Scheme of Work resources. We’ve also been educated, through formal training for young learners’ behaviour management, because we know that is a great factor when it comes to improving our classroom management during Lessons.
Since 2016, IllumEducation has been supporting students to take back control of their confidence and discipline for their learning. Support is offered through our reliable and secure online platform or by traditional face to face approach. In some situations, both methods are blended to deliver best results. Our bespoke schemes-of-work are designed to give our students constant practice of ideas on topics they have been thought, to underpin retention for the subject in question. Part of our services also deals with behaviour management of pupils/students who have diverse challenges for their learning. Please contact us if you have such issues for you your child.
To become a member of our learners, an enrollment form must be completed and submitted, this done we shall contact you via details you have provided to us to inform you of your weekly lessons’ schedule. We will also include an invoice and credentials (login details) to our virtual classrooms. Our teaching staff will always be present to honour lesson and schedules on your timetable. Payment for lessons are made a month in advance (invoices are sent at the end of the previous month). Invoices sent must be honoured for continuation of lessons to be granted.
We do have different number of subject we cover depending on the level of the learner in question.
We do have different number of subject we cover depending on the level of the learner in question.
The focus of Students at this level narrows to their national externally assessed summative examinations i.e. GCSE and A-Levels, our focus is to support them to cover most of the curriculum as well as the specification (pertaining to their different examination boards ) for these nationwide examinations. We will support students of this category in the subject areas of Mathematics (Foundation and Higher tiers) , English Language and Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology ) to attain their best for gaining entries into Good Sixth Form Colleges as well as Universities.
For our services, we shall invoice parents/guardians a month in advance; the invoice must be paid for before we can deliver our tuition support services. Our bespoke schemes-of-work are designed to give our students constant practice of ideas on topics they have been thought, to underpin retention for the subject in question. The duration of our lesson is 1 hour.

KS2 –KS5 Learners (Year4 - Year 13) 8-18 years. We cover all national curriculum and external summative examinations in the subjects we cover within this learning age group.
Due to the bespoke nature of what we do ( we all have different learning styles ), and the highest of quality teaching we do expect to deliver, we’ve taken the challenge to train our teaching staff. This process will begin only after we’ve discovered competence and interest to teach in the subject. We train our staff to be able to implement our special and virtual resources / tools to deliver our expected high quality lessons in a safeguarded environment.
Yes we do charge some fees for our services but it is important to let parents know that we do this to maintain the highest quality of our services delivery. We do not take advantage to profiteer on the fact that parents need our services. Our fees are to be paid monthly and by one month in advance. For example, 2022 January’s tuition support invoices will reach parents by 27th December 2021, we accept various methods of payment and payment must reach our bank account by the 5th January 2022. We will find it difficult to maintain the agreed tuition support of that parent’s child, otherwise.
Our reprographics department handles this all important aspect of our lessons delivery resource. This department of ours is equipped with the required staff who have in-depth knowledge of the national curriculum for every Key Stage in the context the subject area. The department is also equipped with graphic designers who direct the media text used to encourage young learners to be engaged in the context of the subjects. On completion of a SOW development we’ll output/ publish it for screen and print versions. We will post/mail the print versions to our learners whiles our teachers use the screen version. We are able to deliver traditional home work this way and most importantly, parents are able to check progress of their wards by our SOW workbook. Please click here for an exemplar model of our SOW.
IllumEducation takes the safeguarding of our learners very seriously; in view of this, our website including our virtual teaching platform is heavily ring-fenced to prevent the intrusion of any unauthorised party in the teaching/learning space of young learners. We do also have support and monitoring staff on standby watching over every lesson for quality assurance. Any member-learner on IllumEducation’s teaching/learning platform is safe from any form of abuse: anything which comes to our notice will be procedurally, accordingly and immediately dealt with then, the required feedback given to the parties concerned/ involved.
This has been an area of concern to IllumEducation: we have made it very clear that we are not a school per se, our services is to support what a learner is doing at their school. Even though we do understand very well the value and process of education because our directors are trained teachers with Master degrees in the area of education, that encourages us to look at this aspect of leaning from the learners point of view. We try to make the learning process with us a less stressful one because it will be of that same reason and how pupils/students will be motivated to end up with us: to facilitate that process. We shall carry out the normal formative assessment to monitor a learners progress before changing to a new SOW as the previous would have been completed. What we discourage to do is placing another stress of summative test on the learner whiles they already have that in their various schools. In other words, we are obliged to give feedback to parents as to the progress report of their children rather than given them a terminal report; looking at things from the parents perspective, with respect to that of the schools report we think that will be confusing to the parent.
So when comes to this aspect of the learning management, we would play the formative role to assist the learner’s school to play the summative role.
IllumEducation is committed to giving feedback to parents in the context of reasons they have come for our services. Frequency will be one month intervals; it can be weekly , anytime it comes to our notice that a leaner is not in class, we will quickly call the parent if they are aware about that absence.
Out teaching resources is mainly our virtual platform the SOW workbook, writing tools and punctuality. IllumEducation will not supply stationery or other writing-materials.
The most common issues we do encounter very frequently are the issues of whether or not we need to replace a lesson because a learner has been absent without informing us. Replacing lessons interfere with future ones so we refrain when IllumEducation was not given a 24 hr notice prior to the absence. This could have meant that the teaching staff was in the lesson waiting for the learner to turn up. If we know for a fact that that was the case, we will refrain from doing some for the absentee; otherwise, we will replace that lesson i.e. if we have been informed 24 hours prior to the lesson in question.
IllumeEducation will prefer to replace a lesson other than giving a refund. We do not encourage parents to deduct a would-be but not yet replaced lesson’s cost from an issued invoice against a new month. We prefer to resolve old issues than to carry it over into the preceeding month’s.
